| The Festival's Dame Adrienne Stewart, once again graciously passed cheques to the 2012 Festival's beneficiaries, but this year the function was held on the Festival site. The total proceeds ($56,890.05) considerably exceeded the $40,090.68 which was raised last year, and a total of five charities were supported. The Salvation Army received $20,156.02, The Woolston Brass Band received 15,117.01, The Christchurch Womens Refuge 7,558.51, and The One-2-One Charitable Trust $7,558.51. A special grant of $6,500.00 was made to earthquake survivor, Kate Barron. Carolyn and John wish to thank Dame Adrienne most sincerely for her support, and also to thank everyone who contributed to the Festival. | ||||||
